The Founding   
The Mailed Foot Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes was founded in 894.M41solely on the authority of the Adeptus Terra, they are a young chapter bent on proving themselves to their affectionately named Big Brothers of the older, more established chapters like the Black Templars and the Crimson Fists.   Taking from the gene-seed stores of the Imperial Fists in the stores on Holy Terra herself, the Mailed Foot chapter models itself on the same doctrine as that of the Black Templars, honoring their brothers' Codex with slight modifications to it a Mailed Foot: A History

Yeah, posting this probably means I'll drive over an EFP on the way to the Kuwaiti air port, but whatever. In a few days I'll be heading over to Kuwait to fly home for a whole 15 days of no Iraq! =D Watch out California, Shifty's coming home to eat all your In-N-Out, raid the Games-Workshop stores with his saved pay checks and fish in your ocean! :3

And, on a more Deviant Art related note, I'm finally getting my fierfek'la tablet, and I'll actually be able to put stuff into my Gallery. Having all these sketches and no scanner kind of blows... a lot. .__.

I'm a 19 year old, white male living at FOB Sykes, Iraq. I'm a Medic and a Private First Class in the U.S. Army and a progressing artist. I say progressing because I'm good by my friends' standards, which are apparently very low. Or maybe they've never been here on DA and seen the cool pictures and stories the real artists post.

Anywho, I'm a progressing artist, trying to get my bearings in the illustration world so that I can fulfill one of my dreams, which is to make a graphic novel that I find decent enough to send into Lucas Arts and have it published. I don't care if it actually gets published, I just want them to look at it.

I am a collector of the table top game Warhammer 40,000 and am currently building an army of unnecessary size, thanks to the pay checks that's all for my spending since the Army gives me food and a place to live.

So, that's me in a nutshell. A salted nutshell. :3

Being a soldier is tough, so hang on out there and keep drawing whenever you can - all you need to fulfil your dream is practice and a bit of technical knowledge - so, if possible, try to read some books on drawing and stuff.
Anyways, always feel free to ask anything when drawing - I'll try to give a piece of advice or make an overpaint.
Just hold on to your dream! =D

Practice is something I try to do often and I may just pick up a book or two to try and figure out where my own style lies, since that's really what I'm looking for right now. I'd say you'll find getting on any style way easier if you look into realistic drawing first. But first thing is fun and interest - listen to yourself and draw in the way you get more of them 8)
